UMCP Academic Policies and Regulations

The Science in the Evening program is governed by the academic regulations and policies of the University of Maryland College Park (UMCP). Students in SIE courses are subject to the policies, deadlines, restrictions, and expectations set forth by UMCP; this information is available in the UMCP Undergraduate Catalog on http://http://www.umd.edu/catalog/. Semester deadlines are given each semester in the schedule of classes and may be found on http://www.testudo.umd.edu/ScheduleOfClasses.html. The list below provides examples of some of the issues of which you need to be aware, but it is NOT an exhaustive list. Exceptions to any UMCP policy can be requested through your College Advising Office. Non-degree seeking students in SIE courses can submit such a request for an exception to policy to the College of Chemical and Life Sciences Student Services Office, 1300 Symons Hall, 301-405-2080.
